Free Art Friday: The Rustic Kitchen Collection

Published Date : 23rd May 2022

A Rustic Touch

These herb prints in our picture frames are so charming and would make a perfect addition to any kitchen. Rustic, contemporary, or minimalist, this set would fit any style of kitchen. Even if cooking isn't your thing, these prints could convince anyone that you might actually have more recipes than take-out menus.

For these rustic prints, we recommend a natural wood that won't overwhelm the subtle and delicate beauty of the herbs.  A dark wood or black frame would add too harsh a touch.  A simple white or natural wood frame is in keeping with the rustic feel and lets each print speak for itself. For a touch of color, a subtle interior mat is a fun way to complement each unique herb with a partnering color.

For each print, I chose an accent color double mat. For lavender, I decided on the grape purple mat; and shades of green and yellow for the rosemary, thyme, and chamomile so that each print had a unique pop of color. By choosing a single frame for all four, they all still work together as a cohesive collection.

You can download all of the Herb prints via A Daily Something here.  Then, head to the frame shop, pick a frame, and upload it to your favorite natural wood frame!
